Seminars for officiating for 2010-2011 will be held September 26 and 27 in Steamboat.USA Hockey Officiating Seminar
USA Hockey Officiating Seminars will be held in Steamboat Springs on September 26 and 27, 2010. A level 2-3 combined seminar will be held at 8:00 a.m. on September 26. A level 1-2 seminar will be conducted on Sunday September 27 again commencing at 8:00 a.m.
All seminar registration MUST be done via www.usahockey.com . Registration will open August 2. USA Hockey will be collecting a $10 state seminar registration fee. Registration with USA Hockey as an official is not required for seminar attendance.
Level 1 candidates are required to bring skates, helmet, and a whistle if possible. Level 2 and 3 candidates please bring full officiating gear.
Classroom portions of these seminars will be held at Yampa Valley Electric on 10th St. between Lincoln and Yampa Ave.’s. Ice portions will be held at Howelsen Ice Arena (approximately 6 blocks).
Please Note:
-If you are a 1st year level 2 candidate I would encourage you to enroll in the Sunday seminar.
-If you are a first year candidate DO NOT register as a USA Hockey official until you have attended the seminar.
-Adult officials, you will be required to register with Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) to perform a background check prior to being assigned games.
-Youth officials, you must be a second year Peewee or girl’s U-12 player to be eligible for these seminars
